Drummond Contracting is a small, family owned business based in the Ashburton District. We kicked off back in 2016 when our neighbour, who had a conventional baling run, sold up and moved to town. We bought a small baler and pretty much took over his run. Word got around that we did a decent job, and it just grew from there.

After saving up for a round baler and a 3×3 medium square (mainly for a bit of fun at the time), things started to pick up. In 2018, we officially incorporated the business. That year turned out to be a wet spring, and when the bigger operators were struggling to get around to the smaller jobs, a few neighbours asked if we could sort their balage. Then they told their mates, and things just kept rolling.

Now there’s a team of six of us, and while we’ve grown a bit, we still stick to what we do best – helping the little guys. No job’s too big or too small, and we pride ourselves on being reliable and easy to deal with.
